Biographical Information:

A few of the people I have played with: Ellen McIlwaine, Rita Chiarelli, Georgette Fry, Suzie Vinnick, Maureen Brown, Tony Quarrington, Mose Scarlett, Rick Fielding, Daisy Debolt, Denise Pelley, Doreen Smith, Cheryl Lescom, Johnny Favourite, Big Rude Jake and performed with hosts of others including Lori Yates, Lorraine Segato, Rory Block, Oliver Jones, Al Simmons, Della Reese, and Marie Bottrell.

  • 1997 - present - Guitarist/band arrangements for the TBS Toronto Womens' Blues Revue.
  • Musical director/guitarist for S'Women In Blues. featuring artists like Ellen McIlwaine, Rita Chiarelli and Georgette Fry.
  • Producer/Musical Director - "Jackie Washington Day", June 15 2003. a tribute to Jackie Washington, featuring Ken Whiteley, Ian Thomas, Tom Wilson, Jeff Healey, Carlos del Junco, Gwen Swick, Chris Whiteley, Caitlin Hanford, and many others. member of Friends of Jackie Washington Committee.
  • Teacher at the 1998 National Guitar Workshop, Toronto campus.
  • Feature artist at the 1999 Toronto Blues Society's Toronto Guitar Workshop.
  • Active guitarist for the London-based production of Paul Winter's Missa Gaia (Earth Mass)
  • Guitarist for the Hot Latkes Klezmer Band, performing Jewish and eastern European folk music at concerts, festivals etc.
  • Works with Daisy DeBolt, in large and small groups.
  • Toured Europe/Canada/US1999-2000 with Big Rude Jake.
  • Guitarist/bandleader for Sister Act, featuring some of Ontario's finest female musicians.
  • Leader/ guitarist for Jazzu, a popular London-based fusion band.
  • Worked in musical theatre, including performances at London's Grand Theatre , the National Arts Center (Ottawa), and the Limelight Theatre (Toronto)
  • Performed with the London, Kitchener/Waterloo and Edmonton Symphony Orchestras including shows with Della Reese, Richard Hayman, Al Simmons, Glenn Bennett, Marie Bottrell, Denise Pelley and Hot Latkes Klezmer Band.
  • Featured artist with Orchestra London in the Jan/98 Jeans & Classics concert, Neck and Neck; Eine Kleine Klezmermusik, Feb.27,28, 1999.
  • Played with the Swing Sisters, a Toronto-based jazz band under the leadership of Rosemay Galloway. Performed with the Swing Sisters at the Du Maurier Jazz Festival (Toronto).
  • Played with the Canadian Modernaires Orchestra for 2 years.
  • Lead guitarist for the Sam Evening Band, a popular swing band, during the 80s.
  • Worked with Dave Priest Quartet and Chris Robinson Quartet.
  • Worked with singer Denise Pelley for 8 years.
  • Was actively involved in the formation of the successful Macaw Series of benefit concerts for womens' groups.
  • Worked for a year with Juno nominated singer/songwriter Georgette Fry
  • Has a continuing relationship with guitarist/composer Juno nominated Oliver Whitehead .They worked for several years as a guitar duo, and recorded "Resonance", an CD of original music for guitar and guitar synth.
  • Has performed concerts with Brassroots and the Jazz Writer's Workshop.
  • Worked for several years with jazz singer/former PBS Saturday Night Host, Alec Richmond.
