A short history of Margaret's LONG HISTORY of leading band featuring women musicians.

Margaret Stowe's passion for putting on shows and leading bands featuring women - blues, r&b and otherwise - spans almost 2 decades. And she's had great reviews. From MACAW concert series (w/Georgette Fry) to Sister Act to Bluewomen Group to S'Women In Blues, Margaret has always been the champion of women. She even wrote an orchestra show featuring music of the great blues women called You Gotta Reap Just What You Sow for Orchestra London's Cabaret Series. Watch for these shows!

BLUES AND BEYOND Modern,traditional and original music Margaret Stowe's, S'Women In Blues shows have featured some of best female blues, jazz and rhythm & blues musicians and singers in Canada including Rita Chiarelli, Ellen McIlwaine, Diana Braithwaite, Suzie Vinnick and Miss Angel Brown. Previous shows include Women's Voices Festival Ottawa, Tuza Music & Arts Festival Toronto and Reader's Café Dunnville. At the upcoming Welland Downtown Music Series Sat July 14, 2007, Margaret Stowe's S'Women In Blues will feature another exciting original lineup. The band will play r&b, originals and some favorites, show tunes, early jazz, latin blues, and rootsy grooves. Treasa Levasseur on vocals, keys and accordion, Carrie Chesnutt on vocals sax and flute, Conny Nowé on drums, Rachel Melas on bass and vocals, and Margaret Stowe on guitar.
